COORDINATION OF CARE

At times, physician signatures are needed, change orders are required, therapists may have concerns, patient and caregivers seek answers, and DME partners require additional information prior to delivery. BridgeCare Medical specialists are your only point of contact for all of your agency’s professionals. We understand that DME orders are not always cut and dry. We are the critical link of reliable professionals with access to pertinent data, ensuring orders are facilitated with the utmost care.

One patient may need multiple items that must be delivered from various DME providers due to Medicare Competitive Bid Area (CBA) limitations. We will work with each DME provider pertaining to their approved areas to coordinate the delivery that best works with the patient’s schedule.

PATIENT CONSULTATIONS

BridgeCare Medical endeavors to make sure the patients and caregivers remain the focal point of every DME order. We communicate all expectations so that the family is fully aware of what is covered. We answer questions on proper use and maintenance of equipment as well as communicate with the family during the entire process of the order to reduce anxiety and provide additional professional support that continues after discharge and delivery.

 

DOCUMENTATION MANAGEMENT

Once an order is received, we work with you to confirm insurance payer eligibility as well as ensure all necessary clinical justification supports are compiled. This includes verifying that the patient has not received same and similar equipment within 5 years allowed by insurance payers to avoid surprising denials for the patient down the road. Because we are committed to the seamless process of filing efficient claims processing with our DME providers, we only submit orders for delivery that have all pertinent source documents required. This is done by taking the time to review the data of each patient’s diagnosis and clinical findings to assure insurance compliance.

Our compensation is solely with the DME providers if equipment is delivered. We strive to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality of care even after equipment delivery. If there is an issue with the delivered product, we immediately advocate for the family in expressing any concerns with the appropriate vendor.
